Crochet Spiderweb Shawl

I'm planning to teach a class on the Spiderweb Shawl (front pictured on the Home Page and back pictured below).

This shawl is crocheted in a triangular shape starting from the point at the bottom back and working upwards in rows, back and forth. I think the pattern is in a book or magazine from the early 1970's somewhere in my library. When I find it, I'll offer the class if there is enough interest.

Please let me know if you're interested in taking a class to crochet this Spiderweb Shawl...

Re: Crochet Spiderweb Shawl

Here's the front of the Spiderweb Shawl. The area around the neck is rolled for a shawl color look. The center front is fastened with a Victorian style goldtone heart-with-tassle pin from the company "1928".

Notice that the front edge (top of the triangle) has a scalloped border along the front (top of the triangle) edge. This scallop occurs natually with the spiderweb pattern...

Hi Evelyn,

If you think I can make the shawl, sign me on. Thanks for the compliment, and thanks for posting the picture of my bunnies on your site. Very Cool!

Re: Crochet Spiderweb Shawl

This is too advanced for me. I am still trying to figure out knitting and have kind of ignored crocheting.
