Lia Strahan's Basketweave Shawl

Lia Strahan, one of my knitting students, is thrilled to have completed her first major knitting project: a triangular shaped shawl in a basketweave stitch.

Lia knitted the shawl from 4 225-yd hanks of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted handpainted superwash wool yarn. The pattern is Evelyn's Easy Knit Basketweave Triangle Shawl (available here on the Shopping page and at fine yarn shops).

Here is Lia's husband modeling her completed shawl...

Re: Lia Strahan's Basketweave Shawl

Here is a photo of Jerri Nicol and Lia Strahan modeling their Basketweave Triangle Shawls at Needle in a Haystack on April 25. Jerri's pink and blue shawl was knitted in a bulky yarn for her aunt. Lia's shawl is the same one modeled by her husband in the previous photo.
