Judy and Evelyn's Easy Tee Knit Pattern
Full color pattern to knit a simple t-shirt style sweater in worsted weight yarn with choice of crew neck or V-neck and choice of short or 3/4 length sleeves.
This pattern is designed for the knitter ready to knit her first sweater, or for more experienced knitters who are looking for a fashionable figure-flattering classic design that is easy to knit, easy to assemble, easy to wear, and easy care.
Skill Building: This is a great project to learn to knit your first sweater. Borders are in garter stitch; body is in stockinette stitch. Knit flat in 4 pieces: front, back, and 2 sleeves. Simple shaping of sleeves and neckline with k2tog and SSK decreases. Learn to sew vertical straight seams (side and underarm), slanted seams (shoulders), and curved seams (set-in sleeves). Learn to pick up and knit the proper number of sts around the neck with a circular needle, and bind off loosely to retain stretch.
Great pattern for beginners!
