Evelyn's Easy Basketweave Blanket Knit Pattern
Full color pattern to knit a baby blanket or throw with your choice of 4 weights of yarn:
worsted: 30" x 32", US 9, 750 yds
bulky: 38" x 40", US 11, 800 yds
2 strands worsted: 40" x 40", US 13, 1500 yds
super bulky: 38" x 40", US 15, 550 yds
Instructions for knitting a larger size blanket are included ~~ don't forget to buy extra yarn!
Yarn: (for blankets pictured below left)
worsted: Patons Canadiana (mauve)
bulky: Patons Shetland Chunky (blue)
2 strands worsted: Plymouth Encore (taupe)
super bulky: Sirdar Ultra Mega (cream)
Gauge: (worsted swatch center left)
worsted: 5 sts & 6 rows=1"
bulky: 4.5 sts & 5 rows=1"
2 strands worsted: 2.5 sts & 3.5 rows=1"
super bulky: 2 sts & 3 rows=1"
Skill Building: Stitches used are k and p in a simple 10-stitch x 12-row basketweave pattern, with seed stitch borders. Instructions to knit a 25-stitch x 32-row gauge swatch included (pictured at left).
