Crochet Beaded Jewelry Pattern
Supplies: Bracelets are crocheted from DMC Pearl Cotton size 5 or 3, or DK weight yarn. Hook sizes are steel US 5 (for DMC 5), US B (for DMC 3), or US E (for DK).
Beads are size 6.0/"E" (approx 50). Bracelets and necklaces are finished with a toggle clasp. A magnetic clasp may be substituted. Other supplies are a beading needle and yarn needle for weaving tails.
Description: There are 5 bracelet designs: A, B, C, D, and E. Bracelet E can also be worn as a Necklace.
Bracelets A-D are worked side-to-side in dc or shell stitch. Bracelet A is 5 dc across. Bracelet B is 7 dc across.
Bracelets C & D have a shell pattern with a dc on each side to form a border. A border round of sc is worked in the edge dc’s. Then a second border round of single crochet is worked, with one bead placed after every 2 stitches.
Bracelet/Necklace E is a simple chain stitch with beads placed every 3 chain stitches. It can be worn as either a single-strand necklace or as a bracelet by winding it around your wrist 4 times.
Tips: Choose yarn and beads in complementary colors. Don’t match colors too closely because they won’t show. Choose a clasp design and color that enhances your piece—silvertone, goldtone, copper, polished brass, antique brass, gunmetal, etc.
