Rust Floral Centerpiece

Here's a sample of a filet crochet centerpiece I made 27 years ago from a charted pattern, using size 10 crochet cotton with a US size 5 steel crochet hook.

This rust colored oval shaped centerpiece with a scalloped border measures approximately 30" wide x 24" high. It was machine stitched to a black velvet backing fabric, then stretched and stapled to a rectangular wooden frame.

This piece, titled Rust Floral Centerpiece, won a blue ribbon at the 2000 LA County Fair in the Filet Crochet Lace category.
