 Learn to knit or crochet with beads by making a beautiful bracelet, necklace, earrings, purse, scarf or shawl. Learn to add beads to existing projects. Different projects are available for advanced beginner, intermediate, and advanced level knitters and crocheters.
Prerequisite: Knitters must know cast on, k, p, kfb, k2tog, bind off and reading simple patterns. Crocheters must know ch, sc, slip st and reading simple
patterns.
Supplies: Purchase supplies during class for approximately $15-$25. Evelyn will help you choose a project according to your skill level and taste. Various kits, patterns, yarn, and beads will be available for purchase. Other supplies such as beading needles and findings will be provided as part of the class fee.

 Knitting University: Monthly workshop for knitters to take their skills to the next level. There is a different theme each month, but you are free to work on any technique or project you wish.
This Month's Theme: Crochet for Knitters
A crochet hook is a knitter's best friend!
Learn quick yet elegant ways to start your knitting with a crochet cast on and finish your knitting with simple crochet stitches such as chain (ch) and single crochet (sc). Learn to add simple borders with combinations of sc and ch, and also reverse single crochet.
Already a crocheter?
Learn to add complex borders such as shells, mesh, or more complex lace. Learn provisional cast-on with a crochet hook. Learn to join pieces with crochet instead of sewing seams.
Supplies: Worsted weight yarn in 2 colors, a 4" x 4" (or larger) swatch knitted with a 3rd color of worsted weight yarn in stockinette stitch, crochet hook size US G or H, yarn needle for weaving tails.

 Do you wish to learn to knit? In this class, you will learn the basics of knitting, or refresh your knitting skills, in 2 two-hour sessions. You will knit your first scarf while practicing basic knitting skills: cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and bind off. Evelyn will teach you how to read knitting patterns and how to choose patterns and yarns for your projects.
Scarf Patternns: Included in the class fee are 5 scarf patterns that Evelyn designed specifically for this class: Garter Stitch Scarf (pictured), Stockinette Scarf, Ribbed Scarf, Basketweave Scarf, and Sampler Scarf.

Supplies: Purchase supplies during class or bring your own: knitting worsted weight yarn (i.e. Plymouth Encore, solid color, medium or light tone), 14" long straight knitting needles (US size 9), crochet hook (US size G, H, or I) and tapestry needle (size 16). Evelyn will provide several simple scarf patterns, and will help you choose your project and supplies to suit your individual tastes.

 Do you wish to learn to crochet? Or do you wish to refresh your crochet skills? Do you have a crochet project you wish to finish? If so, then this two-session crochet workshop is designed for you.
Join us for two relaxing informal 2-hour workshops. Evelyn will help you learn to crochet, sharpen your crochet skills, start a new crochet project, or finish that UFO (UnFinished Object).
Included in the class fee is the pattern for Evelyn's Crochet Mesh Scarf. The scarf in the picture was made by one of Evelyn's students as her first crochet project.
Supplies: If you're a novice, Evelyn will help you choose your supplies. Or just bring your crochet hook and some ideas and Evelyn will help you choose a project that fits your individual skills and taste.
